Forgive & Forget?!?!?
Often, when we forgive, we forgive for the sake of forgiving…
Forgiveness with all its artificiality:
“I forgive you, but I will never forget the pain you’ve left me.”
“I forgive you, but I will never forget the misery you made.”
“I forgive you, but the scar will always be there.”//
Forgiveness is more than the remission of penalty; it should mean restoration of a broken fellowship:
At Christmas time, we must forgive.
At Christmas time, we must forgive and forget.
At Christmas time, “Learn to forgive even in your deepest pain!”
