Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.

God took the fragrance of a flower,
The majesty of a tree,
The gentleness of morning dew,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The beauty of the twilight hour,
The soul of a starry night,
The laughter of the rippling brook,
The grace of a bird in flight,
The tender care of an angel,
The faith of the mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family’s need,
Then God fashioned from these things
A creation like no other,
And when His masterpiece was through
He called it: Grandmother

Grandmothers Are So Special
Shirley Rublee
A grandmother is so special,
A treasure in our lives;
A cheerful smiling person
Who is also very wise.
She will listen to our stories,
And may add one of her own.
She is quick to help with projects,
Makes all welcome in her home.
Her smile is always ready
With a cheery word or two,
To encourage her grandchildren
In all they try to do.
Oh, Grandma, how I love you,
It’s so good to have you near;
And may God bless you richly
For you deserve it Grandma, Dear!

The Answer
By Amparo R. Asuncion
How do I love my mother?
That is an easy one!
I love my dearest mother
Just like I love the sun!
Why do I love my mother?
That one is easy too!
I love my dearest mother
Because she loves me true!

I WENT TO A PARTY, MOM
I went to a party,
And remembered what you said.
You told me not to drink, Mom,
so I had a sprite instead.
